The Blue and Gray Room circa 1860
Its July 1, 1863, the first day of the epic Civil War battle at Gettysburg. Listen-you can hear the fighting
between General J.E.B. Stuarts Confederate Cavalry and General Baldy Smiths Union Infantry. Thats carbine
and musket fire and its close - just over the rise. Late that night Stuarts cavalry departed Carlisle, for
Gettysburg leaving the scars of battle on several buildings.
