The Blue and Gray Room circa 1860

It’s July 1, 1863, the first day of the epic Civil War battle at Gettysburg. Listen-you can hear the fighting between General J.E.B. Stuart’s Confederate Cavalry and General Baldy Smith’s Union Infantry. That’s carbine and musket fire and it’s close - just over the rise. Late that night Stuart’s cavalry departed Carlisle, for Gettysburg leaving the scars of battle on several buildings.
